Swedish Fire Log, It's Pretty Clever

It's basically cutting it but not all the way. But you have to do it carefully cos wood splits easily. Also it's a LOT safer

perhaps building fires right next to piles of what look to be maple leaves in piles on the ground isn't a good idea no matter how the wood is cut.... but hey.... I'm texan.

You can also use it as a stove, because of the flat top
