I get annoyed as hell when people see a yellow jacket and start panicking and yelling "bee" and buying powders and sprays that kill actual bees. Ignorant motherfuckers, ant these are rural and suburban people. My friend up the street lost half of his hives last year.
People poisoning bees with sprays and pesticides could definitely be stopped, but there are things we cant help because we cant explain them. Things such as colony collapse disorder, brood diseases, and mass desertions we dont yet have viable solutions and, for some, we still dont know their exact cause. People are trying to save bees but until we find the causes we will continue to lose whole hives in large numbers.
I was being sarcastic with the clinton thing, sorry if ya couldn’t tell
I never said i had a “fear of propeller loops”. i said it doesn’t look right to me and that it’s uncanny valley. do you know what uncanny valley is?

Yeah it's when something looks disturbing because it's in the valley between fake and real, e.g. The Polar Express, and yeah I got your sarcasm just that it has nothing to do with robot bees
the sarcasm was because you were like “it’s just propeller loops!” so i was acting like it was way worse.
I’m simply stating that the bee looks really really weird and off to me. there’s no phobia. it’s just offputting and weird. you can think that something looks weird without being afraid of it.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but we’re two separate people with different personalities, lives, etc. This thing looks really fucking weird to me. it’s UV to me, but maybe not to you. i don’t understand how it’s so difficult to comprehend that one thing that looks offputting to me can look fine to someone else.

It's not difficult to comprehend that you think it looks weird for some reason it's the fact that you're calling it "uncanny valley" when it's not at all
What else would i describe it as? Why are you interrogating and judging me for thinking that a drone robot looks offputting and bad? It’s not like my original comment was mean. All i said was ”am i the only one who sees it this way?”
so stop bitching already.
Fun fact, people perceive things differently. I think Michael Jackson's face will haunt my nightmares, you think it looks just fine.
Maybe this creepy bee drone looks just fine to you, but the uncanny look of it strikes fear into my heart.
it did.
MAJOR spoilers ahead!
basically the UK deploys these robotic bee drones. some hacker dude develops a system that uses online votes from twitter to kill people that the public vote for. everyone who uses a certain hashtag, “#DeathTo __” is eventually put into a database. When the UK government tries to completely shut down the bees when they think they figured it out, all of the bees target the 390k people who used the hashtag and kill them.
the episode is probably one of my least favorites because of how fucking long it is, but it’s a good way to find out how the show goes and see whether you like it.
So if we can afford to spend millions on a replacement electronic bee, why can't we spend the same amount on actually preventing the bees from dying off in the first place.
and hillary clinton is the 45 president of the US
