Honestly
I'm not that crazy on my period
I become very emotional and cry a lot but not more bitchy and mean than unusually am
But I like to blame my period xD
Well a period is a decent excuse, not to act like some crazy psyco no, but when youre not feeling well its difficult to act all cheery and happy as you usually do. Just like how people tend to be more irritable when they have a bad cold or flu, you're tired, you hurt, and you just want some food and rest! If your girl is on her period empathize and treat her like you want to be treated when youre sick, because the only reason shes irritated is because she doesnt feel well.
There are a myriad of physical and mental symptoms of menstruation. It's a damned scientific fact, not some myth. It's a bullshit trick that evolution has played on women.
You know what else evolution has done? Conditioned males to the human species over the course of millions of years to be attracted to breasts, bottoms, hips and the figure of women. It is intended to be a signal that they are fertile mates and will be able to bear and raise children.
We. Can't. Help. It. It's hard wired.
Now, in today's modern and advanced civilisation it's uncouth to look, stare and lust after those attributes. We must master our evolutionary predisposition and be better than the sum of our evolution.
Can you tell where I'm going with this yet?
How about we ALL master and rise above our evolution, above the dirty tricks it played on us?
TBH there are lots of dudes who lecherously leer at a women's breasts and butts and then shrug and say "It's biological. Can't help it." when confronted. Also it's simply impolite to stare, no matter what you're staring at.
Also I don't think your analogy is quite correct. Women also choose men by looks, among other factors of course. Humans are by nature shallow beings. Yet it's equally impolite when a woman stares at a man's ass or arms. Now, I admit that women are biologically more driven towards status and wealth than looks, however it is also quite a big taboo in our society to ask about someone's earnings, so that evens itself out, more or less. Furthermore, if you feel like a woman's body might drive you out control, you can always look away. Women can't stop the emotional rollercoaster that is period hormones.
I fully agree with your general point, however. We should try to improve ourselves instead of making lame excuses for bad behaviour.
Yeah, I know. Yet nobody's blaming it on periods and making fun of it. When someone's upset, you comfort them, not belittle them, make them even more upset and then call them overly sensitive.
There is nothing more infuriating than being upset because you had a shitty day only to have men around you be like "Gee chill, are you on your period or something?" like women are considered more emotional than men but we aren't even allowed a regular human spectrum of emotions without some dumbass dude blaming it on our period. Not all men of course. But that one idiot can make your shitty day even shittier. And in all honesty, idiots are aplenty, no matter the gender.
I can understand if you're testy because if the constant ache, but if you're not hurting and you still act like a bitch then maybe you're just a bitch in general
GROSS FACTS ABOUT PERIODS: ladies, when it's that time of the month, do you notice that you poop more often? Well, just like your uterus, your intestines also go through a "cleansing" period where the inner linings shed off to make new cells. Your uterus does it because you denied yourself a baby and your intestines do it to stay healthy.
Good thing they happen at the same time! If you have irregular periods, just pay attention to how often you poop and you'll never have accidents!
Have a nice day!
Hi, lady here! Those two have no correlation whatsoever. When you're on your period, your body releases prostaglandins, compounds similar to hormones, which have tons of roles in your body. One of which is making smooth muscle, like the uterus, contract. However, some stray over to the bowel, which is also smooth muscle, causing that to contract too.

Bring it. Commence the downvotes.
