Yeah, remember when minorities didn't feel comfortable speaking up when something was discriminatory because they didn't have enough power in society? Wasn't that a great time
I worked with a black guy that would tell us to call him nigger, and would refer to us as boss or bossman specifically to make us uncomfortable. Great guy, wonderful sense of humor about him.
What great times! I especially loved the part where many of us didn't have rights! It was excellent! I sure loved all the lynching, it was all in good fun!
People wish for a long gone time that didn't exist. This sort of thinking holds the same sort of flaw that people who wish they were born in an earlier time hold. Oh, I wish I was born in the twenties! Good luck with polio!
Yes, I very clearly remember a time when we could make fun of white people and did it all the time. Instead of using a white actor, we'd paint a black or asian man's face white and have him act out white stereotypes. Or how we'd call them cracker or mayofucker and they wouldn't get offended.
Because there are no slurs for white people. You tried to make a slur for white people, you'd get lynched or fire bombed. And you'd end up getting the bad end of the stick if you tried to get them arrested.
Lot of history I would've liked to see.
