In my experience domestic ducks are awesome. Geese are the spawn of Satan.

They shit everywhere. Canadian geese are actually horrible. They smell bad, are loud and shit everywhere and anywhere. And it's illegal to hunt them so their numbers just increase every year. The place my grandma lives got special permission to cull them because of how awful they were and were negatively affecting the beach and park.

We have them constantly as guests at the Columbus Zoo. They are everywhere in this city.

But what happens to the beak? Do they mend over time? Or does it just have a busted beak until it dies?

It doesn't mend, it's like a chipped tooth. I'm sure the doctor fixed it to not be uncomfortable anymore for the duck

I had two ducks who used to come in to the kitchen for a nosey and would then just sit on newspapers inside the kitchen door, ducks are lovely animals
