The Chinese system was much more simpler: once you memorise the numbers one to ten you can basically form any number up to 99, then you'll need to memorise 100, the you can go up to 999

As a Norwegian, I always have to have the people working in shops tell me the price in English, unless it comes up on a screen. It's totally impossible for me to wrap my head around
