I just don't see a logical reason for anyone to enlist. Sure some people may WANT to, but those people tend to have a few mental issues. Who wants a little-no paying job that has such high standards and very little benefit. Some people may want to defend their country, I guess, but that's a kinda insane too.
So someone else make a choice that keeps their country safe and you think that makes them an idiot because they're doing it for reasons you wouldn't do it for? As if they're their own people or something?
Oh, I definitely want them to keep doing it. We kinda need them. I just consider all of them idiots for doing so. A man's life is the only thing he has. A dead man has no need for a safe family. He's dead, he literally can't care.
Like my mom said to console me, there will eventually be a WWiii but it won't last too long; we will alll start to drop like flies after the initial blasts, fires, diseases, famines, and radiation poisoning :)
Not sure why this was downthumbed, but might I suggest that there will never be a WWIII? Our economies are too intertwined, and our corporate overlords would never upset that.
Yeah I'm a bit confused also, @matthewg. To the people who downvoted my comment, I'd love an explanation why. I don't think that reality is unrealistic at all.
Unfortunately, due to the current state of world politics, we can't hit first, and we have to allow them to kill millions of people before we're even allowed to initiate a conventional war.
Unless they shoot at American aircraft outside their airspace like they seem to think they are allowed to.
Or make any overt action against one of our allies.
Or China rescinded their protection.
Or Trump decides to see if China is really willing to go to war over Kim (which I personally doubt).
China is slowly separating from North Korea. The only thing stopping them now is how much they depend on it. Your items that say "Made in China" were probably made in Korea. China is pretty financially deep in North Korea. Korea may do quite a bit of damage, sure, but they will ultimately lose - badly.
