Yes. If you've watched shows like the biggest loser, in the first few weeks they lose extreme
amounts of weight and it gradually slows down as they lose weight.
I go to the gym 3 times a week and I see people all the time working out while having vests with wights in them on. I have even seen the guys that go to build muscle will strap a weight to their backs and/or chest to work out with.
Isn't that basically what I said? You can add weight to maintain that rate of weight loss.
@mrscollector My husband does that...he'll strap a weight on his back then go running or do pullups. Or he'll have our son sit on his back and he'll do pushups. I think it's nuts :)
I like to walk while in the pool and when my daughter with me at the gym I get her to hold on to my back and I walk around with her. Lol she loves that.
Have fun, keep your head down, and never volunteer but be quick to move when you're voluntold. Oh and embrace the suck, it'll make things so much better for you.
I was in the Army and had a few Marine buddies. That advice is pretty much a general standard for all the services. Also the school of thought behind the training is all the same. Their goal is to break you down and rebuild you into what you need to be. Almost everything has a purpose but you will need to roll with it cause sometimes the Drill Sergeants want to have fun too. My Drill Sergeant once had the entire company for up for a march left face us, about face the 1st and 3rd ranks then forward march. It was funny then but hilarious later. Another good piece of advice is "Keep your mouth shut, keep your mouth shut, and keep your mouth shut." Don't be afraid to ask a genuine question but other than that "keep your mouth shut".
Just do what your told when you're told no matter how dumb or pointless it sounds. You will be fine as long as you can follow directions, also it's surprisingly cold at night. Try to ignore the airplanes.
So she's right? I mean, that gear is heavy. Getting around in that is difficult. I feel like this post backfired, instead of being derogatory towards her it instead just proves her point.
Serving as a firefighter or a Marine is a lot more honorable than lying around your house like a lazy sack of shit saying “it’s too hard”. She’s basically saying that it’s too hard being fat when there’s other people helping and protecting other people, no matter the pain they have to put themselves through.
If you actually knew anything about her, you'd know that she does not just lay around the house. She exercises more than most people, but has a hormonal issue that makes it difficult to lose the weight. She's just saying that she can feel a difference in tree way her body moves.
