My sis in law and I are doing this except we're filling a box lol Email is a good idea. Her oldest is almost 18 (5 months) so it will be fun to see him open the box

Except 18 years ago AOL was big. Not so much anymore. Who knows which companies will still be around? Or if email itself will still be as technology advances.

That's what I was about to say. In 20 years we may have completely different email providers. On the other hand, Google isn't going anywhere for a while.

No guarantee that will still be what we use, either. Does your computer take floppy disks or cassette tapes?

That's a good point but there's no reason you cant start them in one place and put them in another. Is it fool proof no. BUT neither is paper. Water, fire, and any number of things could happen.
