The problem is that the effect wears off as the day goes on (hence the necessity to wear them every night, it’s not permanent) so driving late at night could be hazardous
Also of note- these are in essence extended wear contacts as far as materials go. So while many use extended wear lenses for years without issue, all the same health warnings and possible vision problems apply- including infection, hypoxia (reduced oxygen), ulcers, and blindness. They must be kept sterile for as long as you own them (generally 1yr per pair), and won't work for every body, with defined ranges of correction for various vision problems. So like many medical treatments they have good applications, but aren't a cure all and carry risks and draw backs to consider against the gains. Also for the first month give or take you may experience blurring, ghost or double images, and trouble seeing at night or against bright light.
They are effective (check ncbi) but they only have to improve your vision to the legal driving limit. 20/20 vision is not often achieved and so the wearer must often settle for half that (20/40)
Happily and eagerly.
