I mean, if someone has to work. I think the holiday should go to people who actually celebrate. I don't know if that's pc to say though. I think Christians should be working on eid too etc.
Oh, it's different where I live. Work has to go on so whoever isn't celebrating that particular holiday works through it. And I think whoever doesn't have a religious obligation should work. Ofcourse that should entitle atheists to a few extra days of leave. But if the rule where you live is that everyone gets the day off. That's better.

Most atheists in western countries still come from a christian tradition, and let’s face it, most people celebrate christmas because they like good food, family and presents, not because they’re oh so christian
It's all neo-pagan magic.
Christmas tree... a magical rite ensuring the return of the crops.
The mistletoe is nothing but a conception charm.
Fifth century Christians jacked a Roman winter festival... and the Earth was roamed by the demons of chaos.
And fucking Santa Claus?
This fat voyeur that watches you all year long
to make sure you live up to his standards of decency before breaking into your house?

Well, Santa Claus is largely based on St. Nicolas (or Nikolaos) of Myra, so that bit is kinda Christian
The various traditions come from different religious festivities. For example, Santa Claus is based on St. Nicolas, who, as the name implies, is christian. He’s also partly based onold European gods like Odin. So yes, christmas has to do with lots of religions, covered in a christian sauce
I'm not talking about religion. Atheism means "lacking belief in god". If something is atheistic then that means that it has nothing to do with belief in a deity.
That's why Christianity is a Theistic religion and Jainism is an Atheistic religion.
Paganism isn't a religion. It's a group of many, many religions, but that's not the point. Christmas might have originally been involved with some gods, but nowadays it has absolutely nothing to do with a god which makes it atheistic.

No, that’s not how it works. It was based on religions with gods, and as I explained santa is in part based on gods. It also functions as Christ’s birthday. This makes it a christian holiday, based on other religious holidays. Please explain how that is atheistic
No. Not at all. Christians have merely stolen the holiday. If it were to do with the worship of Jesus then I wouldn't claim it was atheistic, but it has nothing to do with any god at all. Christmas is a national atheistic holiday in the US and any claim otherwise is simply to be contrary. Whether it was based on religion in the past doesn't matter. We are talking about the present where Santa has nothing to do with gods.

Are you being willfully ignorant? The church has decided that jesus was born on december 25 (even though it doesn’t say that anywhere in the bible) so it’s a christian holiday, albeit a stolen one. Ffs, it’s literally called Christ’s mass
My sister is an atheist and celebrates Christmas, but G-d forbid I have the audacity to invite her to her nieces' bat mitzvahs and nephew's bar mitzvah. Bitch

Maybe she just doesn’t like her family? I’ve been invited to several of my nephews’ communion, and of course you go, because it’s a big day for them. What does it matter that you don’t share their religion?
