I have my cover piled in a ball with around 5-6 more little covers thrown in a corner of the bed next to giant M&M pillows. I don't see any need to make my bed when my sleeping position doesn't allow the cover anywhere except wrapped around my body effectively pulling it off any corner. I could make it in the mornings, but it would be a waste of time in my eyes as I'm not in the military and required to do so.

You are not required to do so, but just as you have your preference of not doing it, some people have the preference of doing it. They feel good when they make their beds in the morning, also your bed looks neat and tidy and doesn't look unappealing.^_^
You know, by making your bed nicely, using clean sheets, tucking them nice and good, use a nice, clean pillowcase. And then putting it nicely by the edge. Like if you find keeping it in the middle odd, keep it at the edge/side. That doesn't make it look bad. You can keep your blankets on the other side. It will balance it out. (Suggesting blankets as winters are going on)
My blankets are just a pile. I have one with foxes on them, one with owls, one with Christmas owls, one with a BIG fox, and one that is kinda fluffy on one side and the other side is a smooth orange fox color. It came with a small fox pillow that I don't use because it's small and has velcro on it.

Your pillowcase and sheets should match, you can use any blanket you want. We don't have to go all "Hotel Style" here.
But I move my blankets and cover into a ball and hug them at night, so it doesn't really work like that. I can't go to sleep if I'm not hugging something so I think it's safe to say that I'm a cuddler.

Why don't you buy one of those long, cylindrical pillow then. They are long and people generally use them to hug and for support.
ohhh lol the bug eye'd owl.. lol... Well... I put all my clean clothes on one bed and use that as a closet since I ran out of hangers when my gmama moved in.. and she takes up another bed.. and while the last bed is also technically mine, it's soft AF and one of the cats has claimed it, so w/e. Back when I was in MS/HS I had my bed put in the corner of my room, so I could lean back against the walls and squish myself with pillows... I think that's where it comes from. My couch also has foot-rests that I can raise, so my arms don't lay over the edge and go numb.
I do. You know how when you're staying at a hotel it's nice to come back and the whole room is tidy and you instantly feel more relaxed? Just like that if you leave your room neat and make the bed, at the end of the day it feels so nice to come home to neat room
