Nah. That's how you know things suck. The day you truly realize you're an adult is the day you realize you can change the things you don't like, and start working on it. To a child the future is just some fictional concept, and adult has figured out tomorrow, 5 years, is coming wether they just wait for it or wether they do something to make it a future they want to live. Today will be gone in 24 hours, the future will be there long after you're dead.
When I was a kid my friends and I found some porno mags, this was the ‘90s, it was the era of big bush so we were really just looking at titties; but I remember thinking “wow, these are women!”
A few years later circa 2005, I bought my first laptop with my own money. Paying my own internet bill, in a house with 5-8 roommates (depending on who paid rent that month). I remember re-discovering internet porn and it really did it for me since these looked like the girls I was going after every weekend anyways. Same age demographic.
Now I’m an old man, and when in moments of weakness I use porn I can’t help but think of that poor girls parents l, and hate myself for contributing to their shame. And all I can’t think is “your just a kid, what’re you doing?”.
I got older, they stayed the same age; and know that it’s weird I know Ive grown up.
Learning to type really isn't necessary, even if your job puts you in front of a keyboard all day. But it's very helpful. Some jobs like programming can go much faster if you can type, but I can type 30-50 wpm at 95% using hunt and peck. Not great but about average or a little over for what is usually required. I find 10 key and use of cursors and hot keys through memory more useful in navigating most programs nowadays that don't use or are faster without a mouse. But much software being designed for use in jobs doesn't rely on the kind of heavy typing that really makes it a must to type- and most emails or written communication nowadays are based on brief concise phrasing. So while I say as always "better to have and not need than need and not have.." I think you're likely fine without typing this day in age.
I'm 44, and still waiting for it to happen. Wife and I just ordered pizza at 9:30 in the middle of a Justified marathon, while working on Dungeons and Dragons characters (her, not me).
