i work at a tim hortons (im canadian) and we have to legally throw out anything that isn’t sold and we cannot donate it because of allergies. so really is he doing a good thing. also food isn’t supposed to remain that long.
People will still take the food home at the end of the day if they're working close (I know ppl who work there that do that - I used to be swimming in the Nutella bites)
I think my view on the situation depends on whether the pizzas would be thrown away or if they were meant for customers/on display (you know the thing that some pizza places do where they just put hot pizzas on display and you can buy a slice without waiting). If the former, you're a good guy. If the latter, I'm conflicted because it is technically theft.
