"Fucking idiots. Way to kill industry and fuck over everyone who needs them to live or can't afford to buy new" is exactly what the horse carriage trainers said about cars.
nope, horses just started to get banned from cities for no reason... everyone was totally fine with them shitting everywhere. Actually, over time, in most places, yeah, they were unilaterally outlawed. A few spots remain for reminiscing or being romantic, but it's not so you can actually get somewhere on time. Go into a suburb or apartment complex and park a fucking horse outside... watch what happens.
You are right, I did change it. I changed it before your "When my truck's down, yeah." comment so then I just figured you saw the changed one. That is my fault.... er... my fallt har har.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't remember what I typed, if you remember what the question you were replying to original was I would be grateful. I shall go talk to birbs outside for 4-5 min while having a stogie.
Ok, that still proves my point. Do you see feeders or water troughs "in town"? The closest I see them to a downtown where I am is Ft. Worth... where it's for a goddamn show.
The feeders and troughs? Those are gas stations. As the gas stations are phased out, you will either be forced to by a new mode of transportation or invent one.
I agree they shouldn't phase petrol out like that; I still have an 06 altima and an 08 camary I can squeeze another 400,000 miles out of between the two. I don't want to switch. I'd never hit 400k between them in 10 years.. and with known restrictions like that, can't sell either. My point is... they will eventually be phased out, same as the horse; which you said you still have a use for. As hard as the shift will be; there is no denying it... technology doesn't work like that. I'm prepared for the next wave; I'm looking forward to it... why aren't you?
Why shouldn't we strive to be better? Why settle? I don't get it. "Oh... it's expensive"... nobody is making you buy a 4k TV... just.. eventually they stopped making TVs with those red/white/yellow plugs and you need an HDMI cable.
If alternative fuel were actually cheap and efficient, I wouldn't have any problem whatsoever. Ireland is legislating for tech that isn't readily available.
Ireland isn't like the US where a car is needed to get to the nearest supermarket. Public transport is readily available, and you aren't gonna get shot or run over trying to walk or bike to where you need to go. By 2030, electric cars are gonna get a lot more affordable as well, and Ireland isn't so big a country that you'll need the sort of mileage you'd need here.
Dude.... I've driven across the country multiple times and specifically on backroads save for one trip on I-40. Everything out of the way. Do you have ANY idea how much fucking land we have? Ergo how much wind? We could power the entire country on windmills alone and still farm under them! The windmills would act as gigantic scarecrows!
lads I think what they meant is that it's only the ROI that has put this in place and not Northern Ireland/UK. it's just clarification on what actual country has put this plan in place
The entire country is smaller then new York state so not really impressive. Its like some one living in NY city and bragging how they use a bicycle and don't even own a car.
