Personification: The attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form.
You're both right but in this case Anthropomorphize is more suited as it is aims to make something appear human in behaviour. Personification is aimed more to give something human characteristic for imagery.
I Hate it when people do this. As someone who works as a trolley collector, please put your trolley back in the correct lane if it has icons or just the lane with the most amounts of the same trolley. If they’re all the same trolley then it matters not
They're not drawing a human figure based on the carts, they're giving the carts a personality.
