The first officer pet the dog after he slipped passed his owner. Burberry went to greet the second officer, who ran away and shot him. While his partner and a civilian was behind the dog. Dumbass piece of shit, but I can't say I'm surprised. It is California.
Unfortunately many city police agencies train their officers to shoot dogs. Many SWAT teams have entry team members dedicated to shooting dogs. It happens all the time, including with many many raids on the wrong address and swatting. One of my fears as a father and dog owner was a wrong address raid or internet “swatting” resulting in my Little Girl’s dog being shot in front of her, (sadly Good Girl died of natural causes anyway). This is one of the unintended consequences of too much power being given to government. The 4th Amendment should prevent this, but liberal judges have whittled those protections down to nothing, “No knock” warrants are granted all too often.
Why were they in his apartment? And the other point is when serving a no knock warrant they often shoot the dog immediately upon entry whether given good reason or not.
No-knock warrants are reserved for dangerous or repeat felons. Dogs only complicate an already tense situation.
Granted, in cases of wrong address, the state and department ought to pay dearly.
Fucking piece of shit this makes me so angry and it's an old story. Dogs are like family you can't just shoot someone's family member to death. Take that officer away and prevent other corrupt shits like him who abuse their power from entering a system that is supposed to protect.
(Sorry bout all the swearing, unjust stuff like this makes me very angry)
Well, given that hating on California gets you upvoted, this makes sense in a pretty twisted way. Also, while I've jumped the downvote train already, I'm pretty. pretty sure there would be some more tolerance for the cop if he had shot some black, brown or really poor white guy.
Apparently lots of cops in the US have about the training of a security guy ripping tickets at a concert.
This cop fucked up all around, entered the wrong home without cause and shit an innocent animal for no damn reason. He shouldn't be sorry, he should be fired.
Maybe we dont know what happens and we all mess up maybe that is a reason we dont have good cops is cause they make a mistake and we quickly jump on them and get them fired or expect a perfect performance from them everytime
And maybe he was just another shit cop exercising his freedom to exploit the law and be protected by it. The first person assumed too much but you also keep assuming it was all a mistake. And entering a house with or without a warrant doesn't allow you to kill any people in it, why are animals treated exceptionally?
Cause idk i find it hard to believe that every cop who shoots something is just power crazy and cant wait to kill something. Like somehow this cop just goes to a random house to kill a random dog because he can at least an accident makes more sense than that
The who entered before him patted the dog, yet this brave asshole shot it without cause. This is a case of a cowards or an asshole, neither should have a badge or a gun.
The resulted in the death of a pet, and depending on the type of owner, it could be considered a family member. Saying it was a mistake doesn’t cut it.
Like i said mistakes are mistakes he should be reprimanded and forces to do training but not permanently fired he shot a dog not a man but a dog. He should pay for the damages go to court be relieved of service for proper training and then be reinstated
Granted, in cases of wrong address, the state and department ought to pay dearly.
