Yeah probably a black house maid. Cause I know the Help was set in '62 so I don't think a black woman in '45 would have that nice of a house.

no i don't think she was a maid she brings her friends to the house to play cards one day and play music when shes tired and chill on the couch and sleeps in a bedroom upstairs

In 1945, women often wore aprons to do their own housework, so they would look pretty for their husband when he got home. My mum always wore an apron for housework and she was divorced.
