I always assumed it was because they couldn't see bc they both have glasses

I hand mine over cebause my mom usually takes a while to look at something

When kids are little they’re constantly bringing you things to look at (or even give you). Parents haven’t gotten out of the habit of taking what you bring and oohing/aahing over it.

I have a hard time focusing my eyes when someone else holds... maybe it’s an old person thing

I do this to my husband because his hands shakes so much when he tries to show me I can't see it
