Again different universes. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you but the fact that different universes exist mean that you're both right and wrong at the same time.

Every story of Batman is a different universe at some point
The right of the Killing Joke is up for interpretation, many fans think bats finally got through to Joker and they were laughing together. Also, some version of the Killing Joke is cannon to the Arkham games as it is talked about in Arkham Knight.
The idea that Batman doesn't kill is ludicrous. A punch can kill a person, let alone a sound beating. Just because he doesn't have malice doesn't mean it doesn't count.
The Batman trilogy by Nolan showed exactly what a stupid liberal asshole Batman is. He is a coward not able to do what is necessary.
If he wanted to change Gotham, he should have taken power over Gotham ruthlessly as Mayor and underworld Don. With this step he could control crime much better.
And his big Coperation should have mayby bring some jobs back to Gotham from China so people had some jobs.
He could bring Gotham back to light with real action. He choose to beat up criminals in back allys as giant bat INSTEAD.
He adressed a sympton and believed it would solve the rest.
It is like fighting lung cancer by not cutting out the tumor but giving you something against the coughing thinking it will solve the rest.
While you’re technically correct- at least in the sense that someone as rich as Wayne could effectively fight crime better through philanthropy than vigilantism- most Batman stories do have Wayne using his company and alter ego doing such things while he fights crime. In the Nolan-verse a young Wayne was all in his own head (shock- a young person not making the best and most altruistic decisions because they haven’t found out who they are yet or gained much life experience...) to the point he was trying to murder a man he blamed for his parents deaths. Before being bankrupted by Bane Nolan Batman was invloved in trying to rebuild the transit infrastructure of Gotham, and we later see he was trying to create cheap nuclear power so can presume he was likewise using Wayne enterprises in a two pronged approach to fighting crime. Wayne hired skilled people he trusted to carry out these projects as his core skills lay elsewhere. Also it’s a comic based movie so it’s not the most logical.

Seriously, put the guy in jail, he just breaks out.
You try to cure him, he cuts off his own face and reattaches it and kills more people.
You spare him, he won't fucking learn.
If killing this guy will make you a villian, then maybe you shouldn't be a hero in the first place.
he’s no more guilty of the criminals acts than a police officer who doesn’t gun down a repeat offender who got let out on bail or escaped. Batman doesn’t judge criminals. He apprehends criminals. That’s the line he walks. He doesn’t replace the criminal justice system and act as judge jury and executioner. Gotham has more crimes than cops, and many bumbling or corrupt police. Batman fills those gaps and also assists with those criminals too crafty or dangerous for the police to handle. He exists outside the system but operates within it. Because he doesn’t have the checks and balances, or represent the people in an official elected capacity when he kills he isn’t justified- he’s just a psycho murderer. He can’t even claim self defense as he usually puts himself into or creates the dangerous situations he faces with criminals. So no, he isn’t a coward- he’s just not a murderer. Batman believes in the law he just doesn’t have faith in many tasked to uphold it.
I like that explanation a lot more than "It's the right thing to do". After hearing that argument for years about Batman, it's fresh to hear that his moral compass isn't necessarily centered purely in moral "good" but more in his belief of law and order. It explains a lot about other Batmen in other universes and timelines as well.
Just read the Killing Joke for an example
