I'm not gonna lie... I can get clingy as hell. Not like stalker-level... but I have no problem with physical interactions or professing love in public. Not Tom Cruise on Oprah level, but pretty close. Life is too short...
The real question is ;
In what business environment is it appropriate to have random 'displays of affection?'.
Maybe they should just bang on the conference room table while everybody watches. Keep your social life to yourself. Don't bring it to work. We don't care.
A hug and a kiss isn't even on the scale of "Screaming 'OMG IS MA BABYYY!' and kissing. So Fuck Off and get a room if you have to exude to the extent of screaming. It's work. Screaming is not appropriate. And if your hormones won't allow you to make it through the day without hugging and kissing, maybe you should just stay home in bed.
I don't think anyone shat in his cereal. In fact I think he hasn't had human contact in years.
Anyway, @this_isntme, of course you shouldn't bang on the conference table. But a hug or kiss are okay, it reminds other people that you are a human being and not a lifeless drone. And since you "don't care" as you stated, why do you mind? Oh but of course, you do care. You care and you mind because you don't have what they do. If you truly didn't care, you wouldn't be making a rant about it, now would you?
I actually have a very stable relationship. I have an SO and she has a Life Partner. So the three of us get along. But we don't suck face in front of other people at work. We actually interact after work or before work.
Idk man. If someone wants to kiss and hug their partner let them be. And I feel like the tweet might just be a bit exagerated to show that her new man is genuinly happy to see her at work. I kiss my partner on the cheek when I see them. Nothing wrong with that. It's not like they're claiming they're gonna have a mad make out session in front of everyone.
So... you have 2 SO's and neither of them have ever surprised you at work? That sucks.
I guess it also depends on the work environment. If you're a salesperson or working in a sit-down office the whole thing makes perfect sense. If you are a journalist working overseas in Afghanistan, a firefighter or an astronaut it doesn't.
I mean, polyamory is a thing. I respect other people's sex life choices as long as all parties consent.
Though the way he put it (especially the terms SO vs "Life Partner") sounds more like he's either a cuckold or an open-secret side bitch.
