pain is relative. waht doesn't kill you might be enough to kill someone else. think it through before you say 'stop whining, i've had worse'.

It appears to be a visualization of how people view their own pain versus other's pain. I'm sure it's supposed to be something more profound, but after four years of doctor's office and lab waiting rooms that's the first thing that pops into my mind. There's always that one person that's in so much more pain, so much sicker than everyone else.
