I just don't see why the girl scouts dont change their program. I'm all for girls getting the same scouting experience, but let's face it; not everyone in or affiliated with the boy scouts is a good person. One bad thing happens to a girl and the whole program goes underfire. I was in scouts and wanted to become scoutmaster of my troop, but I'm not willing to risk my career on something like that.
The girl scouts should change their program . When my sister's we're in the Girl Scouts they sold cookies and thats it , there were no other badges or activities. Girls should be taught survival and wilderness skills but they should be taught separately from the boys. I feel like a lot of parents would not be happy if the programs combined , to many risks. Plus I would never send my daughter on a camping trip with a male counselor or other male scouts.
My big thing about boy scouts isn't about wilderness and survival, which granted it's fun, but it's about leadership and discipline and much more. Camp outs are fun don't get me wrong and girl scouts should have that and everything else imo
Oh, yeah, scouting programs should be "separate but equal." Cause that plan always works out well... Women should have the same chances as men. If they can't keep up, fine. But if they can, they should be given the opportunity to do so. And, I believe you'll find that the Boy Scouts will be better for it in the long run.
Maybe you should look at what the Supreme Court had to say about that kind of thing in United States v. Virginia, or, you know, Brown v. Board of Education.

I could use your logic to justify bathroom being unisex, or Native American reserves being used for casinos, or even boys and girls' lockerooms.
The problem with separate, but equal is that blacks werent only restricted, they were treated like trash as well. I'm not trying to justify segregation, just saying your logic's flawed.
Its a male space, for men and BOYS to bond. It was always a space for people who did have dads or who had terrible father figures. Having girls in would just sully the whole thing.
That’s the issue, instead of having some time with the boys it’ll be tainted with femininity. There’s a time and place for the nonsense of women but sometimes we just need a break.
