Languages are one of the few things for which the argument “we’re never gonna use this in real life” doesn’t work, om account of it being one of the most important things about humans

Depends on the language. I know a passable amount of elvish and that's never come up irl before.

Weird, I always thought foreign language classes were the most useful. Like, when are you going to need to ask where the hospital is in trigonometry?
