What's... what's wrong with that? I mean I don't really use the "[something] much" phrase but it's fairly common nowadays and I see nothing wrong, grammar or vocabulary-wise.
Bring surprised and ,based on the tone of the first few messages, angry that your SO masturbates you are naive and a moderately bad SO. Not only is it healthy for the person but it's also a very common and cheap way of relieving stress.
I mean I would think that it was because their partner didn't tell them that's what they were going to do ? You'd expect some honesty of something not just " I'm going to the bathroom ", maybe they wanted to join in or something ?
Honesty is important in a relationship but so is privacy. Also masturbation as a stress reliever would have its effects dampened by the girlfriend "joining in" as sex is more of an exciting sorta thing while masturbation is meant to be relaxing.
