ALL THE TIME
or even worse
You smell a smell and it gives you the briefest glimmer of a memory, but disappears before you can remember fully what the smell reminds you of
Smells are associated with Memory. Meaning certain smells that you admire from certain events your mind will keep and as time goes on and encounter that smell, you reflect on that event once more.
The smell of crayons and the little toy dinosaurs back in grade 1, the time I fractured my right wrist and had to write/draw with my left hand. Ahh, the memories
My first elementary school’s cafeteria smelt like this very particular brand of hand sanitizer (like it legitimately smelt like everything was made out of it) and every time I use that stuff I remember eating sandwiches out of my lunchbox
Give it to my brother, cuz we have the same nose, same clothes, homegrown, stone's throw from the creek we used to roam (from memory, sorry if I fucked it up)
IT WOULD REMIND US OF WHEN NOTHING REALLY MATTERED OUT OF STUDENT LOANS AND TREEHOUSE HOMES WE ALL WOULD TAKE THE LATTER. (Nah, you good fam don't worry)
