They dig through the dregs of advanced societies to mask their nightmares in dream; while the gears of reality turn forward and civilized humans push the world to future.

I hate to pee on your daisies- but the upper car is a Ford GT. It is not a car made by Capitalism, it is made by Fordism, which is its own philosophy and system on social, economic, and industrial systems and is not a joke but a real thing. It can be related to capitalism, but is founded on principals of using unskilled workers and mass manufacturing tools to turn out goods which can be afforded on the wages paid to workers. It has elements of several styles of thought including socialism and totalitarianism as well, even communism. Ford even at one point had its own colony in Brazil called “Forlândia.” Also, the lower car sports obvious high tech and capitalist goods on the engine including certain turbo components, and was likely built as an “art car” more than as an example of communist manufacturing. Due to the lower cars nature it would likely not be easily attainable in a communist country without using capitalist methods to do so.

I am aware. May I assume that you are aware my reply is not? I would hope so, since it contains the phrase: “not a joke.” I like to hope we can enjoy something for what it is, and if so compelled examine it further, explore questions or thoughts that it happens to inspire in our heads. Where a joke can be funny and a fact can be a fact and neither has to ruin the other. Much like the commentary track on a DVD- perhaps someone is talking about their drive to the studio that morning? I’m sure they are aware it isn’t a traffic report but an action movie they are commenting on? And yet- something about that very scene made them think of that. This analysis and discussion is what can take a moment of humor and allow us to stretch the material into conversation, maybe make more jokes, even learn something we find interesting. For those not interested, one can simply go back a menu and enjoy the unspoiled joke sans commentary.

Yeah and my point is you are diving way to deep on something im sure some kid threw together in about 5 minutes time. Also about your point i am pretty sure what knowledge i have of fordism and based on what i have read people consider it an advanced form of capitalism not its own separate entity. But i mean like i was just saying you can point out the flaws of the post but in reality someone made it as a joke with no real intent on being serious or actually factual so diving in on this deep examination is a bit ridiculous.

Someone painted a picture, or wrote a silly song, slapped together a play to pay rent. Yet over thousands of years people have analyzed these things. Some people have been analyzing the same scrolls or texts for millennia. Humans are strange. If an artist had some intent, or no intent, does it matter to the viewer, or will the viewer, in abscenece or perhaps in spite of the creators claims to intent simply take away or be effected by a thing in whatever way they are? I mean, they made a silly joke, and you say I waste my time looking for anybotherbmeaning, in replying. Yet- you too were in the comments, so obviously you were also looking for more than just what the creator had to say. You too knew my intent and yet took your time to point out where I was wasting time. So here we are you and I, in a circle of our own making no? It seems things have gotten interesting indeed.

tbh i dont know what to even say to that cause i was expecting a more straightforward response i mean im in a stale mate here like if i continue to respond and stuff then i mean im gonna be wasting my time as well. If I dont respond then i look like a weenie hut jr. A tough decision indeed. yet if i just keep typing something like this i can kinda dip my toes in both pools.

Now you’re hearing the music of the dance. In life, no human will know “absolute truth,” things to us simply are what we decide they are. A good day, a bad day, a deep and thought provoking treatise on the human condition- or a fart joke. This is the nature of ideas. In our own mind an idea is whatever we decide it is. Once we put an idea into the world is is no longer constrained by what we intended, but by how others would use it. Science tells us a sunset is a mundane event, the expected outcome of a planetary orbit and the play of gasses, natural forces, and how we perceive light. Yet- people still tend to think its beautiful. They ascribe significance and symbolism to every day things like this, write songs and poems and take time to just reflect on it. What “is” in our minds is largely whatever we bring with us, whatever we decide a thing can or should be. The choice is always ours, as much as we may have a choice in anything anyway.

like my bad fam i had no idea i was dealing with meme socrates here. Like when you throw an idea out there yeah you are leaving it open to interpretation that is common sense but im saying some ideas deserve that and some dont. Like im saying its a bit extreme to go from some dude making a communism joke with 2 cars to you describing fordism which is some complex form of capitalism. I think we can all agree that is extreme its like me talking about how a shot should have gone in for basketball and then instead of just saying well shoulve wouldve you begin to explain the mathematics behind the trajectory of the shot and how the force in newtons was affected or something.I mean lets be real in saying you might be over analyzing things a bit. You can do it but im simply suggesting that it is ridiculous to do so man. like to be honest with you i dont even understand where you are going with half of what you said.

Perhaps. It seems that you would not spend as much time as me analyzing something like this. So we return to the circle. You wouldn’t spend time analyzing the meme, but you would spend time analyzing the comment. But we discussed this. We are both aware of what we are doing at this point. So- the question becomes, if I am wasting my time, what would I be better suited to do with my time? Perhaps something I enjoy? But.... what if this is the thing I enjoy? In a strict sense of productivity, simply being on this site could be called a waste of time, yet here we are. You mention a basketball and going off topic by mathematically describing its behavior as an example- yet I would enjoy reading that post, and if I had time and the desire might even check the math for the exercise of it. So it seems that while we may enjoy different things, we are both here wasting our time. And while my comment seemed off topic to you, it still started a discussion on what I find to be an interesting topic

and on some level you must as well, because... here we are. So really, I wonder if it was a waste of time? I’ve learned you wouldn’t find a mathematic description of a basketball interesting, amongst other things. I don’t know what you would take away from this- as we touched on: what you bring is largely what reality is to you, and what you take away has nothing to do with my intent but with your own intent and your decision on what to do and how to contextualize the information I have put out in this exchange. Interesting. Well, to me anyway.

I simply suggested that maybe you should not waste your time analyzing a joke. If you enjoy it and want to go right ahead. I just wanted to point out that you were possibly thinking too hard into it. I mean like i said go right on ahead if this interest you. I like things that are practical me knowing the angle and the trajectory doesnt affect me putting the ball in the hoop since its all a muscle memory in the first place. Now i mean you right it is something i view as a waste of time maybe its not that way for you and that is your business. I mean i debated people on here prolly once a week for a 3 years straight up and never did i ever convince anybody or change their minds. It just wasted my time and their time. so i mean go right on ahead analyze the joke point out the flaws and everything but just know the purpose of the joke was just to bring out a quick laugh.

We can assume whatever purpose we like. It’s a bit hard to prove what someone else intended wether they tell us so or not, and if they do.... well.... we are back to square one. The idea becomes whatever we make of it. Perhaps you never changed anyone’s mind in 3 years, perhaps you did in ways that you can’t be aware of, or at least shifted it. But.... your statement implies you no longer debate people as vigorously or with the high hopes you once did. So even if the experience didn’t change anyone else, it seems to have, at least in some amount, changed you. Perhaps then, your debates were not so pointless. Perhaps, through analysis of things that is how I inform my opinions, and change myself. Perhaps, when one casts a net and doesn’t care what they catch, any catch is a good one. See? This is a conversation we would not have had if I hadn’t posted as I did. Hardly a waste of time to have a rare conversation. Like I said- we will decide to take what we want from a thing.

Yooo bro i just woke up at like 3 am and legit this just blew my mind. Like when you was saying that like all those debates changed you and shiz that like legit got me all messed up now. I mean like the initial argument at this point is like i think the first thing or maybe first 2 or 3 things you said were a complete waste of time but, heavy on the but all that stuff you just spit was like some major truth so like i guess it wasnt a waste of time idk ima go ahead and concede you won man congrats idk what to say at this point.

Nah. No competition, just conversation. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I’m glad we both took something away from the discussion.
