I’m just saying that’s like saying that you don’t like ur wife because you watched Wonder Woman. It’s the ideal not the average everyday person, you usually won’t find people like that around town.
It’s not even about finding them, it’s about keeping them, or more specifically, how long most people would want to. Imagine yourself just as you are now, sitting across the table from this male or female who looks like a fantasy come to life. For you- and everyone else around. Imagine the eyes on them everywhere you go, the people of both sexes leering, touching, throwing themselves at your mate- even when you’re right there in front of them. Imagine the equally beautiful people of the opposite sex that are always talking to them through their day. Ok- maybe you are secure and it doesn’t bother you. Maybe years of it wouldn’t wear you down or at the least become hugely annoying. Maybe you aren’t concerned at all if they cheat or “know” they never would. Cool. But....
Sunday.... hope you like meal prep. This is when the weeks meals are made all at once (unless you can afford a chef or caterer.) frozen in Tupperware. They’ll be eating several of these- always at the same times everyday unless something exceptional stops them. Most any restaraunt you go to? They’ll bring their own food, or MAYBE order off the menu if there’s anything they an have. A “cheat meal” is maybe a few grapes or the like. No junk food. Little or no alchohol ever. Every calorie is counted. Every meal is science class. Bed time is early, wake up is early. After work and through the day they do their 3-6 hours of training. Every day. Always. Even when you travel, save rare exceptions. Hope you don’t want to go to the movies or anything on regular days. Any plans are made around theor work out, not the opposite. So what you say? Maybe it will be healthy for you? Help you make better choices?
Maybe. But there’s a reason not everyone looks like that. Most people can’t or don’t want to live like that. But if that’s not enough... realize that at the very LEAST they will go through cycles of heavy eating and fasting. During fasts they will be tired, easily irritable, moody, depressed and foggy. A look like magic mike in he promos means diuretics- avoiding liquids and taking OTC meds to shed water so you can look more cut. Speaking of water.... all the water you drink makes you pee... all the time. Like a child who can’t hold it. Your bowel movements will also likely smell like death from all the protein, your gas will too. But see... what none of the articles will tell you is.... for the average man and woman these extreme looks are impossible. No one can look like that all the time, the low body fat and all the other things combine to make it unhealthy. You might get a single shoot, or a month or so tops. But you’ll have to give up the “screen ready” look eventually unless....
You do drugs. Plain and simple. A small percentage of people are genetically gifted to carry a certain muscle mass. Now- if your genes are pretty damn good, and you have the money and dedication to throw at doing EVERYTHING perfectly, your sleep, diet, work out, getting labs and tests done- you can get to shooting distance of the top without drugs. If you’re only filming and can use lights, work out for “pump” between shots, and use other tricks, you can fake the funk. But to be 360 degrees live action top tier shape like that, for most people you’ll need drugs. A “sexy” body with some deep definition and nice muscle mass can be done by almost anyone. A 6” tall male averages 144 (scrawny) to 200 (dad bod) running about 20-25% body fat. At 6” 180lbs and 7% body fat you’re carrying almost 50lbs more muscle. You can gain about 10-15lbs of muscle a year doing everything right with great genes. There is way more math to support it. Skeletal ratio to muscle carried,
All sorts of indexes created off data from body builders and competitors showing what is and isn’t realistically possible based on the stats of the worlds top athletes and fitness pros- including figures from before synthetic steroids were invented to set base lines. Base lines that generally hold true to this day in non enhanced figures as what the upper potential is for a natural physique for a given set of variables. I mention this for two reasons:
1. Lots of people get discouraged they don’t look like these kinds of people. While health and looks are great reasons to get fit- you’ll likely never look like the most extreme models unless you dope- and either way it will take years, maybe decades.
2. It’s relevent. Compounds used to enhance performance and looks DO have sides. No matter how well administered, selected, monitored, or countered. I won’t give a big list as many like to argue some are conditional, or even made up. But regardless there is potential health risks as...
Well as every day realities you have to deal with if they are using steroids or related compounds like insulin, HGH, etc. even if you argue there are not risks or sides... some people just might have a problem knowing their SO is sticking themselves with illegal (in many countries) often off label and unknown sourced needle drugs or pills. So yeah, not everyone will need to go to the furthest extremes of this list to be in Magic Mike shape- and remember- that was the topic. Not buff, not close to- but in exact film ready look, in reality at any given moment of a day. Very few people have the genes to get their without going pretty far, and any measure of “action hero fitness” appearance will require your training to come first- for as long as you want to look that way.
TL:DR- most people don’t want to deal with all the things that a partner needs to do to look like that constantly or even much of the time. Your primary life goal must be to look that way, and you must sacrifice many things most people enjoy from life including often- time spent together- so that they can keep that look. For many “average” people it is not possible to look like that at all or for very long without using drugs. It takes years or decades of natural, no chemical training to be in the kind of shape where you’re running 6” at 180-200lbs and single digit body fat- unless you are very blessed by nature. The shapes you see like this are unrealistic for most people and simply- unless for performance most willfind that (especially as they age) it’s better to focus on general health and more trouble than they or their partner wants to deal with. Ie: most people want to lay people who look like this, not live with them- unless they share lifestyles.
Porn is a billion dollar industry, I don’t see most guys or gals walking around with partners that look like A list porn stars or dancers. Fantasy is that which we dream of because it is impractical in reality. The age old complaint of how long a date takes to get ready- yet most people want the results no? At some point we draw the line and would rather have someone who is similar to us, shares our values and priorities, than someone who fits a fantasy. Fantasizing about your child being president of mars doesn’t mean you won’t be happy if they become a surgeon, or an artist, or a middle class parent. Most people will end up with someone who’s values and lifestyle matches their own. If your partner lives for fitness with every moment of their day and you do not- any long term relationship will likely require compromise, or spending a lot of time doing different things.
I believe I fall into the Dad Bod category. I'm trying to get in better shape, and making slow but sure progress (you know, being a Dad and having priorities and all), and there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm still going to be the same person inside, whether I end up back in a Dad Bod years later, or decide to stay more fit.
