No he hasn't. He only wore the Iron Patriot for part of IM3... then he went back to his War Machine style and then that shit got upgraded between AoU and Civil War and again between Civil War and IW because he got freaking paralyzed from the waist down.

The War Machine is not a piece of shit. It's decked out with a ton of weaponry that Rhodes wanted. Remember, when he took a suit in the 2nd movie, it was just a basic Iron Man suit (at least from what we saw). All that extra stuff was added on by him.
