I wish they would institute that in the U.S., though they are getting better about it. Most states don't accept "because I don't wanna" as a valid excuse anymore.
For those who also had to look up what the hell a crèche is, I’m guessing it’s not #1 below:
—noun, plural crèch·es .
1) a small or large modeled representation or tableau of Mary, Joseph, and others around the crib of Jesus in the stable at Bethlehem, as is displayed in homes or erected for exhibition in a community at Christmas season.
2) a home for foundlings.
3) British. a day-care center; day nursery.
4) Animal Behavior. an assemblage of dependent young that are cared for communally.
I could deduce that it was some sort of institution with many children gathered together, but I still found the posting of this definition helpful and would have looked it up myself if granlobomalo hadn't posted it
Not defending it because I'm not even a parent, and I'm in healthcare. But one of my friends has s girl who she had raised vegan and unvaccinated and she it's actually pretty healthy.
It's perfectly fine to live that way if a disease is 100% erradicated world wide, a small number of unvaccinated people amongst a larger vaccinated population will be better insulated and less likely to catch the diseases but the people who are unvaccinated have a higher likelihood of catching these entirely preventable diseases if they were in some way in contact with a sick individual. For most part these diseases are isolated to 3rd world countries except the fact that air travel has become cheaper and more accessible worldwide which allows a much higher chance of infectious diseases, that have been eradicated in, to spread to vulnerable individuals of the population.
Yeah this is something I have asked. If everyone around you is vaccinated then there's is not really a way ro gwt those doseases anyways.... when I asked her about her decision basically she said her doctor (holistic) agreed but suggested vaccination if traveling to a "at risk" country. My opinion would be traveling at all, period. Even if you go to a healthy, developed country you still have to go through an airport with people from all over.
But the problem lies in you not realizing how many other people aren't vaccinated around you. Once an umbrella population drops below a certain percentage you are in risk. Because you also have to consider people traveling FROM those other countries.
Yeah. But vaccinated people should be fine (unless mutation occurs I guess) the no vaccination argument is natural antobodies development and that's possible only through exposure, so I guess that's a risk those parents are willing to take?
No, the risk is for those who actually CAN'T be vaccinated, either because they are too young or have an immune system problem. They are normally protected by the umbrella of the vaccinated vast majority, but as that majority decides to listen to fake internet doctors and explayboy centerfolds over actual medical professionals those at vulnerable individuals are exposed more and more
My state won’t issue an immunization record unless they have all shots....which sucks because although my kids have had a good portion of the shots, there are some vaccines that caused them to have very high fevers and seizures so they can’t receive the full set of those.
