the hostess referred to her as miss, like all women, and men are sir, regardless if doctor or not, they don't have the time to look at titles, nor do they really care. this is purely about her ego.
"I'm a doctor"
I don't care!
I bet her face would be priceless

I fly a lot and it's not like they put your full title, and in some cases even your full name, on the plane ticket. Especially if you print it off online and bring your ticket to the airport... which really makes it look like this woman was just on a power trip.
Even if they do put the whole name with title and everything, who got time for that?
flight attendants have way more important things to do than reading some dumb title

You're not wrong--and frankly I could care more about now nice they are. It's not like they're going to be addressing you by your full name and title everytime they speak to you anyways right? That would be insane.
From the article I read, it had Dr. on her plane ticket. The stewardess looked at it, saw it, and called her miss.

Still an ego trip. And maybe the stewardess didn’t actually see the title, just the name. People disregard information not relevant to the task at hand all the time.
Tbh who cares if she saw it? Unless they had a conversation about how she wants to be called doctor, or she can prove the person was doing it deliberately to be disrespectful, she needs to get over herself. It's a fucking plane ride that has nothing to do with her occupation, and the stewardess likely sees dozens of people a day, and calls them all miss or sir.
Tbh idc how long you went to school for something. You've got a doctorate? Great. You can include the title by your name, request to be called by the title, and work in that field. That's what it earns you. It does not earn you the right to DEMAND other people call you by that title.
@sm19 I wasn't directing my comment at you really, just at the point that the article brings up, which happened to be what you mentioned in your comment
I mean, I undoubtedly understand the preference. But like, not at the expense of other’s convenience. I feel like a simple correction could have been enough
