that would just end with a lot of employee's having to re-enter a bunch of debts into the system from the physical copies that are kept.

Then the employees have to sit and wait for either an email holding a scanned copies of a different backup hard copy held by a secure location owning credit agency or sit and wait on the fax machine for it to get there.

Wait there is a guy who try to do that, he deleted the student loans of every student of one university after 2010. He got in jail though, and the students still have to pay.
