I don’t claim to be “tatted up” but I have a massive thigh piece, both forearms have a decent size piece on them, one calf piece, a pelvis butterfly (cliche, I know... I was 17 lol), an anklet, and one on my collarbone. This chick sounds crazy if she’s claiming to be tatted up with ink that small lol.
Did it hurt getting any of those tattoos? I'm debating whether or not to get one on my forearm but I want to know the type of pain it will bring. I know everyone had a different pain tolerance, but what kind of pain is it initially?
I'd say a forearm tattoo would hurt but be tolerable for most people. What's more disconcerting than the pain is the sensation of needles vibrating and dragging across your skin. It's hard to compare it to anything else. The pain gets better after about 10 minutes so as long as you can stick that out you'll be fine.
Here’s a trial run, you’ll get soaked but it’s fun. When it’s raining really hard, stick your arm out of the car window when someone else is driving. That feeling of the rain hitting it as close to a tattoo gun as you can get lol.
The forearm didn’t hurt, but the closer you get to the wrist, make sure you keep your hand relaxed. Do NOT tense up. It screws up the Tattoo and it makes it hurt like hell. My list painful was my anklet. I bit through a friend’s leather jacket when they were on my tendon! The rest were pretty easy.
Actually, back when I had my helix pierced for the first time, there was a guy at the tattoo/piercing salon who wanted to have a spider tattoo, and he was really surprised that a smaller one costs more than a bigger one. The tattoo artist kindly informed him that the smaller it is, the more detail is required to put the picture he brought with him on his skin. Not that it applies on a shitty little musical key (is that what the symbol is called in English?) but in general if you bring a picture with you they might tell you that it costs more to get a small tattoo than a larger one.
You have to wonder how long it'll take her to stop swatting at it because her sub-conscious keeps mistaking it for a mosquito or fly. Now that idea makes me chuckle.
