I don’t get the whole raw foods thing. Veganism has proven health benefits (doesn’t mean I’m gonna gove up eggs and dairy though), but cooking our food may have been one of the greatest leaps forward our species has known, it allows you to get so many more nutrients from it, and we’ve even evolved so that (some) raw foods can actually harm us now
I am just going to say it.
That looks like a dog ate a ton of seeds and shit out a seed log. Than this guy picked it up with two tree barks and added some kind of orange paste and a leaf of lettuce and is trying to pass it off as a cheese burger.
I always consider calling someone's food disgusting or ew is very disrespectful and rude
So I would not say that
But if you ever bring that to me, I'd hit you.
I just don't understand why people insist on making their vegetarian or vegan food options resemble other foods in look or name. That is in no way a cheeseburger. That's not technically cheese (vegan cheese isn't by definition cheese) and it isn't a burger. I'm okay with people eating vegan but just come up with your own terms for stuff.
I have no problem with calling that a vegetable patty... but calling that, or more importantly labeling the package as a "cheeseburger" will land you in court.
Vegan? No dairy, it's not cheese and you can't call it that. The USDA and the FTC won't let you call something it isn't.
Same with the burger part. Burger can be any meat, but it's usually beef. If it isn't meat, it's not a burger and again the USDA and the FTC will come knocking.
Why do you think chicken is "misspelled" on vegetarian/vegan alternatives? Calling it "Chik'n" is ok, but not chicken if it isn't.
Don't get me wrong, there are some veggie options that are fuuucking amazing... but don't insult what you're imitating or my intelligence by calling something it isn't.
