*whistle blows and throws yellow flag* Ad Hominem Attack! Comment still stands.
It may be a little rude, but the position or appearance of the person doesn't matter. I don't see how him being shirtless has any effect on the size of her nose. Further, it's a beauty pageant (or similar), so it is perfectly valid, and arguably important, to nitpick the small flaws with each person.
Also, I have no idea how sports work, so I hope I used that flag thing right.
Yes. The logic that being imperfect means you can’t notice the imperfections of others would mean that no one could ever have an opinion. Especially with things like beauty which are so highly subjective. It’s best not to engage in a debate from a weak position, but a great film critic can be a terrible writer/director/actor/etc. An amazing teacher or coach may not be very good at doing what they teach, but may have the gifts and knowledge to allow them to train others who are skilled at it. Just because a person can’t aing doesn’t mean that they can’t hear pwrfect pitch, or that a person who can’t read music or play an instrument can’t make incredible electronic music and understand “good” and “bad” musical principals. Aboveball it doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion. Although in this case it’s not necessarily virtuous to sit around judging people harshly on their appearances, at the same time if you enter a contest to be judges on your appearance it is somewhat expected...
