When I was in 6th grade I noticed I was having trouble making things out that I used to be able to. Like things the teacher writes on the chalk board or the screen at the movies and the show on the tv. So I told my parents I think I need glasses. They just said NO you don't you just want them. 7th grade it was worse so usually I was a back of the class kind of kid only because of my dyslexia I hated to be called on. But I had to move so I could read the board. So told my Mom and Dad I really think I need glasses. They replied not this again why do you want them so bad? You can see fine. This even happen in eight grade. But it was the start of my 9th grade and there was a wellness check happening in my school where all kids had to get checked over weight hight ears and eyes.
So all good till I do the eye test the nurse said ok what is this line "ummmm squiggles" I said. That was line 3. She said ok line 2 "ummm big...ber squigg...les??"
Than she said ok what is this?!?! I said "A square" I felt so sure lol. She said "No sweetie come here!" I walk forward it is the damn giant E that is the top of every Eye chart known to man. I couldn't even tell it was a fucking E. SO the nurse hands me a note says take this to the office take your stuff with you. lmfao She made some one walk me to the office she was worried I wouldn't find it lmfao.
The school called my Mom and Dad and said I was not allowed back in school till I see an eye doctor. I was so blind it took 2 hours to do my test. It got down to 2 options and he didn't like my answer lmao. He said which is best 1 or 2 I said well in one the first letter looks like a T in the second it looks like an R. He said so which one I said well it depends is it a T or an R. My mom laughed but the doctor didn't lol.
It's been so long since I got new glasses I forgotten what it is but let's put it this way anything past my nose is blurry. Lmao and I know if it wasn't for pressed glass my glasses should be as thick as the old woman in my cousin Vinny lmao
