Ladybugs are red. Asian beetles look just like them but are yellow/orange.

And absolutely do not kill them inside your house, they release a pheromone that can attract hoards more.

Though really uncommon, it's possible for these suckers to get stuck in a dog's mouth, if your dog is the kind to catch and eat flying bugs. The beetles get caught when they are dying they secrete a sticky substance and end up stuck to the roof of the mouth rather than being swallowed. You can remove them yourself or at a vet and any bites or irritation should heal up fine.
