I genuinely in doubt despite watching my cat eat.

My cats do occasionally swallow their pellets in whole but mice etc are always chewed to bits which sounds absolutely horrifying

Yea I've had two cats, one would have crumbs dropping out of her mouth while she chewed her biscuits (glamorous lady) and the other would only eat mice butts and would leave the heads on the door mat so there was at least one bite. Still don't know if she was sharing or just didn't like the heads.
