But that isn't a standard vaccination, usually its only given if someone has potentially been exposed to someone with the illness and almost never to toddlers that young. It can be incredibly dangerous, obviously not as dangerous as the illness itself, but as with any vaccine there's a slight risk of it triggering the very illness it was trying to prevent. When I was in middle school a kid died of it, every kid on his classes had to be tested and then vaccinated. The test is a spinal tap. I was so damn thankful not to be in any of those classes
