A case could be made for attempted manslaughter.
The father can claim to have acted in defence of another's life, but I'm sure any jury would be lenient anyways.
If you read he story, it was his ex wife and other son who made the decision to take him off life support. I don’t think a case could be made for attempted manslaughter but probably malpractice for wrongfully diagnosing the son as brain dead.
That hospital is just one giant malpractice suit. I can't tell you the number of screw ups I've heard about. With me alone they almost did an un medicated csection.
Also, my daughter was born with 2 black eyes and scratches on her face because they waited 24 hours to do an ultrasound despite my lack of any progress in labor. What they thought was my cervix was her face, which was in a dangerously wrong position, and they were poking her.
I remember when this happened, I had only just moved out of Tomball at the time. That was actually the hospital where my daughter was born. I'm honestly in no way surprises they misdiagnosed him.
False. The system may be broken, but those of us who devote our lives to medicine and caring for people who are critically ill DO care about you. That’s why we work 12+ hour shifts without eating lunch ourselves, or lose time with our families to care for yours.

"Sir, he's dead."
"No he's not"
