If a school refuses differentiate between make believe/ fantasy and real life how can they expect their students too. This kind of backwards logic and extreme swaddling is the reason we're experiencing so many people getting their "feelings" hurt by real world situations.

If I were the recipient of that letter, I'd show them what solving problems with violence really means.
