About 30 trans individuals have been murdered each year for the past few years. Given the estimated 1.4 million trans individuals who live in the United States, this puts the trans murder rate around .002%
Few of the cases come to concrete conclusions that the trans person killed was targeted because of their gender.
The general murder rate in the US is about .0053%, or twice as high as the trans murder rate when adjusted for population sizes.

There's no hard case that trans women are being killed simply because they are trans women. Maybe in isolated instances, but there's definitely no trend.
(Obligatory disclaimer about how I don't hate trans people, I just disagree with you individually)
While I can’t fully agree with any point here I must also voice a logic based opinion. You can’t compare the murder rate for the general population to the trans murder rate in a discussion about the specific killing of trans women vs women. You would have to compare the number of cases of a woman being killed where the murder was perpetrated because she was a woman and not a murder where the victim was incidentally a woman, and we get further off the mark when the general murder rate includes men which skews the numbers. As to your statement about there not being a hard case to trans women being killed for gender reasons: in context to the discussion you have not provided any examples of trans women being killed for gender reasons or biological females being killed for gender reasons, which in context to this topic makes it 0:0 meaning that if we judges it on all information present here we could only say: the rate of biological females and trans women murdered for their gender is...
.. equal in the United States based on our data sample.” However I don’t think OP meant just the United States. I think they meant world wide, where in many countries the transgender and women have far less legal protections or status.

There’s 4 names. 3 from last year, 1 from the last that I will never forget and is always on my mind when the subject comes up. The thing is that you are correct that it is hard to find cases where being trans is specifically listed as a motive.... unless you dig. Do 10-30 minutes of googling and you’ll find lots of news articles about trans women being murdered- even suspects arrested. Then- nothing. It’s difficult to find media mention of sentencing or trial details. I didn’t want to use stats from LGBT groups because there is an obvious argument for bias in their figures and those figures aren’t externally verified. However what you will notice is how many of the deaths involve shooting, stabbing, beating, torture, burning alive. You will find a pattern of brutality that without other details paints a picture that trans women are st much higher risk of being killed by...
... being draped in barbeire crowns and vestments, assasinated, burned alive than much of the general population. The methods involved in the murders often show not just a desire or impulsive action to kill, but a hate and desire to cause suffering. There are plenty more, and internationally you’ll find tales of police murdering transgender people, mobs being incited against them- and as you say: we can’t PROVE that a mob that ripped a transgender woman apart did it because she was trans. She was implicated in a witch hunt of sorts where all the people accused were transgender women, coincidentally... but cases like this, or several gang rape murders etc- do beg the question wether these women would have been targeted if they were not transgender. Statistically compared to the world population though the instances are lower than violence towards certain other groups. But the FBI data classified hundreds of hate crimes including murder against transgender Americans a year, and showed...
That’s called being a TERF. And most of us hate them. TERF stands for trans-exclusionary radical feminists, and they tend to be the type of feminists who hate men.
