If the statement about when something is venomous and when it's poisonous is correct, doesn't that just mean that plants are poisonous and animals are venomous?
If this is correct i propose the fellowing mnemonic:
Poisonous plants, venomous viper.
This to remind you that animals are venomous and plants are poisonous.
In general venoms are just proteins, so they can actually be eaten safely (unless you have a stomach ulcer or something.) That's the difference as far as I know.
