No cameras, this is true, but they also never relied on cameras either. And depending on where you live when you get caught, and you will get caught, they'll just throw you in a prison where you get one meal a day and forget about you. That's assuming they don't do worse like cut off your hand.
I always find it kind of funny when people who clearly have never picked up a history book in their life talk about how they're going to go back in time and pull off all these great hijinks. Like, yes, you have the minor advantage of knowing about future technology. But that stuff didn't exist then, and people didn't really give as much of a care about "beyond a reasonable doubt" back then. Or, y'know, human rights violations.
Honestly, the hardest part would be communication. I'd love to go back and meet SO many people, but even learning Latin or Hebrew or Arabic... I wouldn't know the colloquialisms or accents of the time. I'd most likely be immediately arrested and then I'd have to prove my value with mathematical equations that I'd have to be able to illustrate in those languages and not come off as a total crazy person. That's nearly impossible.
Also maybe galleys.
