I had a patient who was 11 years old and was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. So, this is a condition where your Red Blood Cells keep dying. I used to ask him to draw and color on blank sheets of white paper and made him stick them right beside his bed. We used to play games together and laugh till our tummies hurt, literally. And one morning he was not feeling well, the next morning that I went, it was just his paintings and a new patient on that bed. I missed him so much. I cried that day in the nurse's duty room.
Basically, as growing society we CAN be whiny about smaller seeming issues in comparison to massive wars, BECAUSE we are not fighting so hard to survive that we don't have the luxury of complaining. It's like a child with severe cancer, you aren't going to complain about it being sunny and having to do homework, because you have more pressing matters, like it being sunny and you ARE DYING and can't go play outside even if you didn't have homework.
Disagree. Plenty of us still fear being killed by the police, deported, gay-bashed (Jussie Smollett), missing a pay check and a host of other things. As a gay Black man in my region, I live in a state of perpetual fear of what will happen to me next in America.
WHY would anyone want to compare 18 year old boys now with those dying with their guts out in 1945??
the point of the whole thing is to improove not to constantly chide people for complaining over having homework instead of being grateful they're not dying in a trench somewhere because /someone/ decided assorted minorities were to become a subject of a genocide.
i'm all for counting one's blessings but - one of those blessing being the ability to complain about having homework, you really shouldn't shit on it then. let people breathe a little, eh?
modern society people are too soft, jumping on band wagons for this cause or that just because it looks good on social media and to give people a sense of accomplishment. get a job, work hard, accomplish an hoest days work and earn your salary
Sure. Complain about them on the internet some more, it will give you suuuuuuch a moral high ground. You're so different from them, the hardworking guy who spends his day...moaning about the kids these days...on the internet...Oh. You're doing the same shit you bitch about, hmm.
i don't bithch about them, stating an opinion, i don't go putting rainbows and french flags on profile pics to "show support" and no do anything, no do i deman equal rights for everyone just because, i think everyone should be treated equally, but there will never be equal rights
