I recounted, and found 74 as well. Perhaps the piece of paper and the cardboard count as pieces. Still adds up!

That's the total contents, found through a quick Google. My guess is one marker is removed

That is also what I had thought. Trying a color, and then realizing the numbers look small, and taking a picture.

You can also see that the markers have been removed and used, so one of them might be on the floor or under a table or something
