This is going too far honestly. What is the need for these weird made up genders to make yourself feel special. What even is a "female" ?? Can't you just be a normal person
I try to always be as open minded as possible, but the only genders I can get behind are if you identify as male, female or gender fluid. Anything else goes beyond my understanding. But ey - whatever people feel comfortable with. It's their body and their life after all.
Lot of scientists and psychologists convinced me. Humans are really interesting in that way. It makes sense, transgender people are a different gender, but they don’t deny their sex. Plus, intersex people usually choose a gender (male or female).
Here’s the etymology of gender.
gender (n.)
c. 1300, "kind, sort, class, a class or kind of persons or things sharing certain traits," from Old French gendre, genre "kind, species; character; gender" (12c., Modern French genre), from stem of Latin genus (genitive generis) "race, stock, family; kind, rank, order; species," also "(male or female) sex," from PIE root *gene- "give birth, beget," with derivatives referring to procreation and familial and tribal groups.
This is a light hearted joke, please don't garrote me.

As for gender itself, I haven't been able to find many sources that are unbiased, but I did find this on a medical/health-related site:
