Pro tip: if ever run into an anti-vaxxer, feminazi, that type of vegan, ... just leave.
Don't even attempt to deal with them, let them drown in their own shit.

was reading on a actual study where they found absolutely no link between vaccines and autism, but the scientists admit that after decades of idiots, that the damage may be irreversible
Recent studies have shown no link between certain vaccines and autism. This likely won’t influence those who already outright ignore or reject scientific data on the matter. Now- it is reasonable to claim that science is only good as the times- theories and established facts are often disproved years or centuries later. Science can be influenced by personal, political, or economic bias to favor certain conclusions as well; and for any study is a conflicting study or a fault one can find in methods, data, or conclusion which can potentially invalidate the study. HOWEVER- these alone are NOT evidence nor sufficient grounds to invalidate the conclusion that vaccines are safe. If one has doubts then one must use scientific method to prove a theory in which vaccines DO cause autism. That has not yet been done. Anecdotal and statistical data do not even support the theory.
I am always hesitant to force things on an individual for any idea of a “greater good.” It goes against the principal of liberty and is a slippery slope to abuse. HOWEVER- Vaccination isn’t anpersona issue. It is an issue that effects the health and safety of the public and their ability to enjoy life freely. It can be an individual choice not to get vaccinated- but people often forget that liberty and freedoms do have associated costs as a burden of responsibility. What this means is that if a person exercises their choice to not be vaccinated- that person, not society, must bear the individual responsibility for that choice. It is the responsibility of the unvaccinated to avoid any and all possibility of their choice negatively impacting others. A self imposed quarantine of sorts. A high price to pay, but as the dating goes: “freedom isn’t free.” It is criminal by nature to endanger others through willful negligence. Science says vaccines=good. No vaccine=bad.
Don't understand why you were downvoted; vaccines can be dangerous if administered improperly, especially if you're allergic to them and don't know it. Sometimes, the allergic reaction can be severe enough that it's not worth getting the vaccine.
Any substance on earth can be dangerous if taken in the wrong amount or at the wrong time or with the wrong preparation. Too little water- you die. Too much water? You die. Water is safe to touch, but heat it up and it is dangerous. The same exact substance, but how safe or when it is safe depends a great deal on how it is prepared, administered, and the dosage. Drinking a gallon of water won’t hurt most people in reasonable health. Inhaling a gallon of water will likely kill you. And believe it or not- there are rare cases of allergies to water. It’s the old adage: Knowlege is knowing a tomoto is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn’t (generally) belong in a fruit salad. Vaccines in most cases help more than they harm. Most people who reject vaccines are dangerously ignorant. However we can’t automatically assume that through rejection of a vaccine a person is a moron. Blind adherence to anything, even in the interest and majority held or expert led charge of “good” is seldom ”good.”

@guest_ As a side note, I really do admire the manner in which you speak. You’re so incredibly dignified and knowledgeable. I have much respect for you.
@firmlee_grasspit- thank you. I appreciate it, and I try. Although I still have much to learn, and I could often stand to be a bit more dignified, but every day, every minute is a chance to do better- so I’ll keep trying.

Ignorance expands exponentially faster than knowledge, so we are indeed miniscule in this vast void, but I regard those whom take it upon themselves to expand with it.
Very eloquently said. An old coworker used to say “The gods create better idiots, you cannot compete with a god.” But as you say- I believe people have the ability to surpass their present state with the will or proper motivation. Perhaps not my most enlightened sentiment- but in the face of futility I suppose it is not always a question of winning at all, but of wether one chooses to fight, how well, and how hard.
I am all for vaccines but I know one family that all the females who got vaccines developed some form of autism. It is SO rare, but it happens unfortunately....
Look champ, it's like this; if they don't know what does cause it they sure as hell don't know what doesn't. Stop mindlessly regurgitating bumper sticker propaganda and try thinking for yourselves sheeple!
yea stick it to the man! Don't listen to those damn egg heads not like they actually know what the fuck they are talking about or have extreme amounts of experience and education that anti-vaxxers almost never have when they regurgitate facebook propaganda or something. Noooooo totally not the case at alllllll.

Hey, guest....quit being a dingus. We DO kinda know what causes autism—it has to do with early development of the amygdala; that is, a traumatic event in its early stages of development causes it to grow nearly 3x it’s original size. That, is something that is prevelant in all people with autism. You think a vaccine in CHILDHOOD causes that? How about you actually think for yourself? And quit calling us sheeple. How fucking cliche can you be?
To be fair- in science we don’t have certainty- only the most likely and observed or expected behavior. Also to be fair, we technically do not what does or does not cause or raise risk for autism in definitive terms or generational terms. and to be fair- it is arguable if it is better to mindlessly follow one person than another for whatever reason we may choose to put out r trust in them. In principle. HOWEVER- and to be VERY clear- all reliable and reproducible information shows vaccines do not have a link to autism, and DO help prevent diseases. So even IF autism could be linked to vaccines it is preferable to death, and even if you’d rather have a dead kid than an autistic kid you are still putting other people at risk who did not choose to be out at risk. So get the damn vaccines. Many chemicals used in everyday life or even in medicine are known carcinogens too- are you going to refuse a tooth filling or an IV because of a slight increase in long term cancer risk?

I understand your “to be fair” sentiments, but autism doesn’t develop after vaccines. We know this because autism develops in the womb, pre-vaccine. There may be a shadow of doubt, but I would really take that with a hue grain of salt. Nothing is 100% though, I agree.
Lol. @firmlee_grasspit- yes. It’s a bit like saying that eating enough raisins will make you grow a third arm. It is HIGHLY dubious. On a graph from extremely probable (if I let go of my phone right now it will “fall” ) to extremely improbable (if I let go of my phone right now, it will float upwards and then shoot off into space), I would rank vaccines and autism at just slightly above my phone reaching exit velocity on its own power. However- that doesn’t mean it CAN’T happen- just that it very likely won’t, and has never been seen to happen, and everything we know about the universe or think we know suggests that it will not happen. So if we weigh two things we cannot say with certainty, but DO have probabilities- we can come to the most likely theory. We don’t actually need to know the whole story of WHY a thing even is or if it is even a correct assumption for it to be functionally true and repeatable.
We developed many physical sciences “after the fact.” We observe a functional phenomenon, figure out how we can reliably repeat a desired (or avoid an undesired) effect, and from there we build our understanding. Magnetism and electricity are good examples of phenomenon we do not completely understand on even a fundamental level- yet we do have a functional knowledge of them to the point that we do not require a complete understanding of them to harness their abilities. So... it is VERY unlikely that vaccines are linked to autism but not impossible, however weighted against what we know about diseases the gamble between the two is less a gamble and more willful ignorance. The burden of proof is not to prove vaccines are safe as that burden has been met. It is for those saying otherwise to prove they are not- which to date they are unable to do so. In abscence of that proof the only valid evidence is that they are safer than not being vaccinated.
Don't even attempt to deal with them, let them drown in their own shit.
