Well I'm actually a bit of a troll here, as I wasn't vaccinated against it and got it. But it didn't get me to the hospital, so I'm still laughing.
(to be perfectly honest with y'all it didn't click in my head what chicken pox was and I gotta admit I didn't even know there was a vaccine for that. Seems like where I'm from you gotta be itchy at some point in your life).
not sure what im missing here. it's chicken pox. do we have a new strain of it or something? because when i was a kid we all got it and no one died or any thing you just got bumps and itchy it wasn't a big deal.
As children, it isn't so bad, since your immune system is still learning about new microbes in the environment and is less prone to overreact. Also, children can tolerate a higher fever much better than adults, something that measles and varicella (chicken pox) produce. Due to a higher risk for secondary infections and a lower fever tolerance, adults are at a higher risk for having serious complications!
