rules are there for reasons tho...
You might have seriously hard or danger other patients including your mom.
I understand why you did it and how much it probably helped her tho.
When my Dad was in the hospital just before he passed away my brothers would take his dog to see him every time they went.
They never hid him or anything lmao they just walk right past the front desk holding the little dog as if it was supposed to be there. The doctor even met the dog lol never did anyone say a thing.
Honestly though it might of been because everyone knew my Dad when he was himself (he had dementia and Alzheimers) and knew how much of a hero my Dad was. He was once an Navey officer, EMT, Fireman, Fire Chief, police officer, Fire Marshal, Prison Guard, Police Disbatcher, and he was the head fire detective in the Oklahoma City bombing case. (He pretty much solved that case on his own. With out him the guy would of got away with it.)
So yeah he was a hero.
Sadly his last days was closing in so that also may of been why they didn't care.
Plus the dog is tea cup chahuhua so lol not big at all.
When I was a kid I had that security blanket (who am I kidding I still have it) and I couldn't sleep without. When I got eye surgery I had to spend a few days in the hospital. My mom smuggled it in for me and that was clearly a dilemna because she was already sad (and felt impossibly guilty) about my condition and wanted me to be happy but was worried sick about the possibility of it bringing germs. If I had gotten a nosocomial infection I don't know how she'd have lived through it. Nothing happened though, but it's a really tough decision to make.
Agreed. And I've said before, not everyone is super comfortable with dogs, and even more people have serious allergies. A friend of mine breaks out into painful hives and her throat gets very tight. As cute as this is, please don't bring unauthorized animals into a hospital. The rules are there for a reason. Dogs make messes and chew on things that shouldn't be chewed on, and many people are scared of them. I know they probably other people's best interests in mind, but this is still unacceptable.
